Green Smoothie Recipe
Green smoothies have increased in popularity over the last decade. I mean, they're healthy, nutritious and taste delicious. What's not to love? And if you're going for all of that fabulous fiber, smoothies are the primary alternative to juicing. Plus, smoothies are less messy. By a lot.
If you're brand-new to green smoothies, or have been searching for a new recipe, here's a fresh green smoothie recipe just for you.
- 1 cup spinach
- 1/2 cup kale
- 1 cup berries (I like to mix blueberries, strawberries and rasberries)
- 1 banana, sliced
- 1 tbsp. ginger
- 1 tbsp. chia seeds
I have a Nutribullet, that I've had for at least 5 years, and it does the trick. Or any blender would work.
Add all ingredients + 1 cup of liquid of choice – water, kombucha, tea, etc.). To enjoy right away, use frozen fruit. To plan ahead, use all fresh ingredients and freeze. Blend and enjoy!
If you need it a little sweeter, try adding some honey or stevia.
